Doctor Alan Barclay
Dr Barclay has nearly two decades of experience in nutrition and specialises on the association between glycemic carbohydrate (glycemic index and glycemic load) and the risk of developing lifestyle-related diseases like type 2 diabetes, heart disease and certain cancers. His work has been published in some of the world's leading nutrition and diabetes journals, and has been presented at scientific conferences around the globe. Dr Barclay is the Chief Scientific Officer at Glycemic Index Foundation (Ltd) and Head of Research at the Australian Diabetes Council. He is also one of the co-authors of the New Glucose Revolution: Diabetes & Pre-diabetes handbook.
