International Expert Review Of Aspartame
Aspartame is the most widely used non-nutritive sweetener in Australia[1]. Since its discovery 45 years ago, conflicting information about aspartame has led to extensive study to ascertain its safety and health impacts. In this free webinar hear from US toxicologist Dr Bernadene Magnuson, PhD, who will discuss the major findings from an international expert panel review, evaluating the safety of aspartame. The presentation includes a review of the absorption, distribution, metabolism and elimination of aspartame, and examines the panelsŐ findings regarding aspartame and cancer, as well as neurotoxicity issues including headaches, behavior and cognitive function. The effectiveness of aspartame use in weight management will also be discussed.
