Mount Franklin, one of Australia's favourite waters and a much loved Coca-Cola brand has gone pink to raise funds for, as well as awareness of breast-cancer research.

Have you noticed that the normally blue lids of Mount Franklin spring water bottles have turned pink lately? You may have also spotted, in cafes, restaurants and hotels around town, that the shapely blue bottles of Mount Franklin Lightly Sparkling are currently looking at life through rose-tinted glass? The latter, limited-edition bottles are the exclusive celebrity-designed collection by National Breast Cancer Foundation patron, Sarah Murdoch, actor David Wenham and TV presenter Catriona Rowntree, as part of the campaign to raise funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF).

Mount Franklin has committed $100,000 per year for a three year period to support the NBCFs research into breast cancer prevention and treatment.

NBCF Patron Sarah Murdoch, said Mount Franklin's support of the NBCF would be fundamental in raising funds for research and in turn, helping reach our goal of finding a cure.

"The Mount Franklin initiative is a beautifully stylish and creatively interesting way to raise both awareness and funds for breast cancer research," she said.

"I have had two family members diagnosed with breast cancer. Thanks to life-saving research they both survived the disease."

Early detection could save your life, so routinely check your breasts for these symptoms when showering or dressing.

Look out for: lumpiness or thickening in the breast; changes to the nipple such as a sore or ulcer, redness, version or discharge; changes in breast skin such as puckering, dimpling or unusual redness; changes in the size or shape of the breast; or persistent pain that is not related to your menstrual cycle.
