Straight Facts

I read that diet drinks are good for managing weight but recently heard otherwise. Is this true?

This is false. Weight gain is all about how much you eat in relation to your physical activity.  If your kilojoule consumption is greater than the number of kilojoules that your body is burning, then you will put on weight.  In fact the Coca-Cola Health and Wellness Advisory Council – an independent panel of experts in nutrition science and public health reviewed the scientific evidence on sweeteners and found that they assist people in keeping to a low energy diet.
